gentle flow

figured the reason why i am not feeling well (again!) is because of miss ni ni's yoga class.
i have actually been for a 'gentle flow' class before, but it was conducted by mr azmii.
thought i would try her class.

little did i know that her 'gentle flow' class is actually for advance practicioners!
mr azmii's class was more TIRING. her's was TRYING.
mr azmii did repetitive vinyasas (sun-salutions & its variations).
miss ni ni did loads of folding, balancing and strength exercises.

when i used to go to mrs july's class (where miss ni ni taught), planks were different. i used to HATE it because it causes intense pain in my arms and shoulders. but NOW in my new yoga centre, it is slightly different.

PLANK is just a pose where you position yourself at the start of a push up. and hold for 5 counts. (for mrs july, you actually go down in a push up -or down- to the ground)

now, the push-down part...is called CHATURANGA - where you go down halfway, ensuring your elbows are close to your body. then, you are supposed to HOVER over the ground. and hold for 5 counts. without your thighs touching the floor. and then, go up into UPWARD DOG.

gosh. just imagine this. 10 times (or more!).

i think this actually released some toxins, which caused me my flu. :p
