call me...mrs mcdreamy (Part 2)

Reception at Shah Alam
2 August 2008 (Saturday)

Friday was meant to be the day we took a break/rest, so that we will be refreshed for the weekend (Saturday in Shah Alam and Sunday at Sime Darby Convention Centre).

however, us...being...well, us...we didn't do that.
no.
we decided to start moving into our apartment.

:)

which involves a lot of heavy lifting (and breathing!).
on top of that, we kept on bouncing back and forth between the parental units.
by the end of the day...we were just too darned tired...and ended up sleeping over at my parents.
Come Saturday, everyone involved had to make their way to the hall to be briefed and for a "short rehearsal".

1030am - arrive at the hall
1030am till 12pm - had refreshments and chit chat. it was mr popsie's birthday...so had a mini celebration.
12pm-2pm - rehearsal! there were so many people giving input here and there. it was quite chaotic.
230/3pm - finally made it into the hotel room to chill out.
305pm - mcdreamy realised that...he forgot his socks. so he went to sacc mall to buy a pair. i stayed back...and tried to relax.
430pm - mcdreamy returned with 3 pairs of socks...and a pair of shoes.
5pm - had my shower.

then, sharon came around to do my makeup and hair...
by 815pm, we were at the hall.

the whole event went by pretty well. at least, that was the feedback.

funny things that happenned on that night:
1. my train got caught on the steps (there were staplers on it!!)...and my maid of honour, miss kam couldn't find where it got caught!)
2. a personal video that my darlings made for me...started in the middle instead of the beginning. 3. somebody moved the wedding cake, without telling us. so, it involved me walking backwards (which is hard to do with the train!)...

mr popsie gave a speech, which according to some was the highlight of the night. not sure if it was because of his song (he sang!)...or the many (golf) jokes he gave.

my brothers also gave a speech, where they told funny stories about me being a sweet tooth, drama queen and being the princess of the family (most of the stories were EXAGERRATED).

*sigh*...

when it was over...
everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

everyone but mcdreamy and me!
because tomorrow will be the reception on HIS side!

p/s: more pics will be posted up.
