nike free

my running shoes.
nike free 7.0.
the best RM200-300 i've spent.

due to my weirdly large and wide (& flat!) feet. it is difficult for me to find comfortable shoes (especially for running!). and due to the many years of running in small, confined, squeezing-to-death kind of shoes...i have developed a habit of running while curling my toes (which i am sure is quite detrimental to my feet's health).

especially since i have flat feet, this would probably make it worst.

Flat feet is a condition in which the foot doesn't have a normal arch. It may affect one foot or both feet. Most people have a gap between in the inner side of the foot and the ground when they are standing. This is referred to as an "arch". Feet that have a low arch or no arch at all are referred to as flat feet or fallen arches. On standing the patient will have a flat arch and the foot may roll over to the inner aspect.

and when you have flat feet, you are more susceptible to knee/join pains.

so when i bought these shoes, i realised that i can run better! as i am no longer curling my toes!
(though, sometimes i do...without realising).

also trying to train my feet to run without pronation (heel landing at a weird angle) by making sure i land on my feel properly and following through to my toes. so much concentration needed while running! no wonder i am like extra tired...haha

so to all flat/wide/big footers...do get a pair of 'nike free'.

why it's so darn good...
  1. lightweight, breathable upper keeps feet cool and dry even when your feet are on fire (running at high speeds)
  2. phylite & phylon in the midsole & outsole combined with the mesh upper keeps your load extra light
  3. soft durable outsole has deep slices, which allows it to bend, flex and move with your feet
  4. grooves in the forefoot allow toes to grip the ground & dig in for extra power on take offs
  5. improves foot strength by 20%!
  6. trains all the small muscles & joints in the foot
  7. due to its flexibility, you will be able to adapt to any bumps, twists or turns!
