unfortunately, we are not very tanned...:p
it was more cloudy then sunny...(boo!)...
we stayed at the andaman (wedding present!). the hotel was nice...but after going to the ritz carlton in bali...well...it's just not the same!
what surprised me most was that there were more families then old honeymooning couples. and they were all foreign. it wasn't peak time, so the hotel was not overcrowded.
the rooms were pretty and cozy.
though, the beds were a bit...hard! i am more of the soft-cushy-bed-kind-of-person. but
mcdreamy liked them.
the best parts of the room were the bathroom, the VERY comfy sofa and the amazing view.
i don't have a pic of the bathroom, but here is a pic of the view from our balcony!
the first thing we did when we arrived was...rush to the pool! the pool was nice, albeit some dead leaves in it. i love swimming, even though i am not very good at it. in fact, i can only swim if i can stand in the water or at least feel the bottom with my toes. :p some childhood phobia.
after doing some fun try-to-touch-the-bottom-of-the-pool (my bottom is very bouyant...this is actually quite a feat for me!) and some laps back & forth...we decided to go to the beach. and boy! was it a nice (and clean!) beach!

at night, we drove to pantai cenang for dinner. mcdreamy went to langkawi for his stag getaway, so he kinda knew where to go for good food. and boy, was it good food!
we ordered siakap masak tiga rasa, 6 huge buttered prawns, grilled squid (more like burnt), seafood tom yam and some vege. all together...RM103. ouch. but our tummies were full. and happy!
the next day, i experienced my FIRST CABLE CAR RIDE. it was liberating, being able to overcome my fear of heights. but that didn't stop me from taking deep breaths everytime i look down. in fact, i don't even have to look down! i just pictured the cable snapping and me plummeting down to my death!!!! eeks. but alhamdulillah, everything was fine. in fact, the views were pretty amazing from way up there!
then, we drove to kuah town to visit their al-ikhsan store (mcdreamy is as obsessed about this store as he is with F.O.S). i ended up buying a pair of flip flops. :)
then we headed back to the hotel...to have a dip in the pool and a stroll along the beach (which was very romantic...though mcdreamy and i do more "funny" then "romantic").
on our last morning, we had a leisurely time enjoying our breakfast (complimentary!), packed up our stuff and headed to the airport.
and that was that. our second honeymoon. it was good to be back. i kinda missed home. :)
