dammit!i ve got the virus in my body...AND my computer.
no...my computer is not having the sniffles (but i am!).
i was surfing the net on one fine sunday (yesterday), checking out some wedding stuff.
when i clicked on a link, it installed a virus! i started getting all these weird pop outs alerting me that my computer is infected, and i needed to click on it to install an anti-spyware.
no. i didn't click on it.
i checked online to see what it really was, and YES! it was a virus, that cheats you into installing MORE viruses when you click on it. as mcdreamy always says, "hey, this is not just a hat rack" (pointing to head).
so, i immediately scanned with the MicroTrend Scan, Ad Aware and SpyBot Search & Destroy. Ad Aware came back with 100++ critical objects (shit!) and Spybot came back with 30++ objects (double shit!). Removed them, but there was still a pop up at the System Icon Tray. *sigh*.
On a positive note, after removing all the spyware my computer was moving at lighting speed! I LIKE!
so, came to work today and called the IT desk. after 2 hours, everything was back to normal.
