broke but satisfied...

Banana Republic is on sale!

i know, i should be focusing my energy on getting an "EDGY" outfit (refer to previous post). but, it's banana republic!!!! i LOVE LOVE their clothes. but they are just too darned EXPENSIVE! so, to ensure my energy will be refocused to getting an "EDGY" outfit, i decided that i should go to banana republic FIRST, so as to get it out of my system.

glory galore! everything was so beautiful! so were the prices. ranging from 30% to 50%, some were still extortionately expensive. there was this one top that has always caught my eye. it is similar to the dress from sofira boutique. it was to the point that i planned to re-create the beautiful dress called 'gigi'.

but of course, when i went into the sale, and saw the dress. it didn't have the discount tag. typical. new item. oh well. saw walked around some more, and brought in 5 tops to try. liked 2 of the tops and so, went to pay.


this really nice and pleasant sales assistant came up to me as i handed my credit card to pay and asked if that was all...

"well, i really wanted that purple top..."
"so why don't you get it?"
"it's not on sale!"
"why...miss...everything is on sale! it's 30% off"

(stood gaping and wide-eyed)

needless to say, she grabbed it for me...and i tried it on. and it was truly beautiful. it was as beautiful as i imagined. lovely. my heart started soaring. i could hear lovely birds chirping and the a pretty rainbow in the horizon. so ok. it is still a bit steep. RM188 after discount (from RM269). but i love it too much to let it go.

so this was what i bought! imagine the purple top untucked though...i have a "generous" bottom...

so, i know. not very edgy. after spending so much, i didn't have the heart to part with more money. so i thought i will wear either one of these tops. so to make it "EDGY"-er, it's accessories time! and my favourite place to shop for accessories is khazanah (1Utama, Suria KLCC, not sure where else). easy to match earrings and necklaces and bracelets. i like. :)

bought this gold-y earrings and matching necklace. think it will look very nice with the brown top (have another pair of gold earrings to match puple top...a'la beyonce in crazy in love). and this really cool white-gold cuff...

and thought i would finish it off with these shoes that i bought from nine west sale a long time ago.

i don't think i will be "EDGY"...but i think i will still look pretty good. i am leaning towards the brown top. i am hoping to come across as..."UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE"?
