i was supposed to write about my birthday 10 days ago!
but there were just so many things going on...:p
Mcdreamy actually checked to see if i wrot e in!
and to be honest, i have so much to tell about my special 26th birthday! but, thing is...i don't have photos to upload yet. they are in other people's cameras. therefore...i thought i'd write first...pictures later (look out for updates!)
17 October 2008 - P.M....almost time to sleep
by 10pm, i was already feeling very tired. needed to conserve my energy for my birthday tomorrow! the plan was to wake up early, do some yoga, then go to my auntie's Raya open house in Rawang, then rush home, then...
"happy birthday sweetie!"
mcdreamy interrupted my thoughts, while coming into the room with a huge bouquet of roses...
i was so surprised, my mouth was opened wide.
"wha...wha...what's all this! my birthday is tomorrow!"
with a kiss on my forehead, he said "i wanted to be the FIRST to wish you..."
all together now...awwwwwwwwwwww...
i know...we can get quite sickening that way...:p
18 October 2008 - A.M
the sun was shining into my face...
i opened my eyes.
it is my birthday!!
due to my fidgeting, it disturbed mcdreamy's slumber.
"happy birthday, sweetie...zzzzz"

i got up, did my yoga as usual...feeling very excited about what was coming up for that day.
the plan was to:
1. go to my auntie's raya open house
2. rush home to get changed
3. go for wade robson's dance workshop!!
4. go home & rest
5. go out to "somewhere" for birthday - mcdreamy's surprise.
wade robson's dance workshop was...amazing! the man himself, doing his thang on the stage. but because i have not danced for so long (3 years to be exact) & being unfit and all...i had difficulty in following the steps! but it was cool nevertheless!
[T-B] Moi & miss sc all sweaty & danced-out, Wade talking about some dance stuff, miss sc, wade da man, and moi...
a few days before my birthday, i did ask mcdreamy..."so, are we doing anything for my birthday?"
"ya, dinner or something"
little did he know that i kind of knew that he was organising a surprise for me!
how did i find out?
well, there were actually 2 occassions that kantoi-ed him.
Case 1: If his phone beeps while driving, he usually asks me to check his messages. thing was, mcdreamy has a new phone (Blackberry), which at that point of time i had no clue on how to operate.
"Just click the button," he said.
So i clicked.
And out came a list of emails.
And one of the emails were from his friend.
Subject: 18 Oct Availability
smiled silently to myself. didn't want to spoil the surprise (for myself!)...so i just closed it without reading on.
Case 2: We were watching TV, while sitting on the couch. He laid down his head on my lap while we were guffawing at F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Suddenly he took his phone out (apparently it buzzed. APPARENTLY, for a whole week he put his phone on vibrate!). he opened his messages.
A message from miss sc (my cuz!)! Ermm..wot?
Subject: Project Update
How OBVIOUS!
i looked at him.
"iiis thereee sooommething u wannnaa telll mmeeee??"
he just looked away and smiled. "nothing" very unconvincingly.
"you are organising a surprise for my birthday!"
"maybe! but u still don't know what it is!"
yeesh. he had a point. never mind. :)
so, at 7pm i asked him.
"where are we going tonight?"
"somewhere!"
"where??"
"i can't tell you?!"
"but you must! i need to know what to wear!" - good trick...:)
"wear something nice...because i am taking you out for a nice dinner..."
"with everyone else?"
he looked at me questioningly.
"i saw the message remember??"
"No...just me and you..."
erm...ok.
"i WAS going to get everyone together...but mr big nose told me that this is the first birthday in our marriage and it should be just me and you...so that was cancelled"
oh.
:) how sweet...and how i was CONNED!
so all dressed up...we finally left to go to the "restaurant".
"sweetie, there is actually one more present for you. but it's at my parents"
"*gasp*...is it a cat????"
"erm...no."
"oh."
so we drove to his parents.
his mom shouted from upstairs..."go in from the side! my friends are coming over!"
i still wondered if i was getting a cat.
and there it was...at the gazebo...
decked with baloons! and there was a candle on the table!
"we are having dinner here..."
i was just shocked with it all...
he asked me to sit down...
i was wondering...who is going to serve us dinner?!?
and suddenly from behind me...our friends & family came out from behind the house...singing Happy Birthday!
i was super shocked and pleasantly surprised...
mcdreamy planned all this!!
it was a wonderful birthday surprise party...we had pizza & KFC...and loads of laughter and pics (which i will share with later!!)...
my birthday cake was super cool (gracias to miss ray ray!)...it had my picture printed on it!! woo hoo!
then after that, some of us went to finish the night off with some karaoke singing...
all the way up till 2am (way past by bedtime).
& i fell asleep.
in the karaoke room.
