it's a good day for me!

as i started to wake up from my slumber, i silently smiled at myself...taking in a deep breath and thanking Allah for allowing me to live for another day (Alhamdulillah).

Note: Based on 'The Secret', starting your day positively (with a smile)...carves the rest of your day in the same manner...

as i opened my eyes, i kissed mcdreamy on his cheek. a self-reminder to be grateful that i have a wonderful husband (he was so oblivious...didn't even realise anything!)...and got up to carry out my subuh prayers.

little did i know...of all the "prosperous" events...

Prosperous Event #1: Revolve Clothing

before starting, i remembered...that i was supposed to call Revolve Clothing (an American online shop). i purchased a pair of jeans (Joe's Jeans! read the entry on Everything Chic)...which never arrived in london. seeing as a month has passed, i thought i'd better give them a call.

"Hello, Cynthia from Revolve Clothing. How can I help you?"
"Hi Cynthia, my name is Miss Urban Chic, and i would like to enquire about order #xxxxxx. It was supposed to arrive in December, but i have not received it since"
"OK, let me check"
(2 second pause)
"I am sorry, Miss Urban Chic, i believe the package is lost"
!!!!
"Oh no!"
"Don't worry, we can refund the total back to your credit card"
!!!!!
"Hmmm, is it possible for you to send another pair?"
"Of course! However, i would need to check the availibility"
(1 second pause)
"Sorry M'am, this is already sold out. Would you like to proceed with the refund?"
"Yes please!"

wow. fantastic customer service. and...

i got back USD120 = RM432.

Prosperous Event #2: Free (Second!) Breakfast

Due to a favour done...i got a Free Nasi Lemak in the office!
Because i drank my Herbalife in the morning...i had this at around 1130am. An early lunch. Which means...i am not SUPPOSED to have lunch...

Prosperous Event #3: Free Lunch

Well, my lady boss asked me and miss mo mo out for lunch.
i can't say no, can i? so, we went to domes.
had caesar salad (it was the lightest thing i could find!) and my favourite ginger tea (try it!).

and after a leisurely long lunch (more than 2 hours i am sure)...miss lady boss said she's paying!

Prosperous Event #4: Free Info

during the same lunch...miss lady boss (who stays in the damansara area, like me) mentioned...did you know that Nestle is moving to Surian Towers??
*gasp*
that's literally a 5 min WALK from the apartment!

so, today was a good day for me.
:)
i was blessed with money coming into or retaining in my pocket...AND also new found opportunities...
